busy at work

marathonI took this photo of a certain marathon here in D.C.  What fun this was–I rode my bike from the Chain Bridge down the C&O towpath to get this wonderful vantage point just across the Key Bridge.   (To be really specific, I stood on some empty kegs at Dixie Liquors to get some of my best shots!) I love how you can see the pedestrian bridge to Teddy Roosevelt Island as well as the car TR bridge in the distance.  Though I ran this race a couple times, I’d never noticed how incredibly colorful it is.  Look for a riff on this pic for October 2014.

Great news!

The wonderful interior designer/blogger Kelly Milspaugh Thompson is adding Art by Anne Lewis to her fabulous Barn Sales in Frederick and to her space at Stifel and Capra in Falls Church.  The next Barn Sale is the weekend of December 7.  See more of Kelly’s offerings at www.stylishpatina.com.  Thanks for spreading the Art by Anne Lewis word, Kelly!

Lovely Retail Outlet in Alexandria

Terrific news!  Reunions, a fantastic store full of beautiful housewares, thoughtful gifts, and antiques, has offered to carry my calendars, prints, and cards.  They should appear very soon.  Thank you so much, Reunions!

Fun Surprise

Imagine my surprise to see the calendar at the Smithsonian Gift Shop at National Airport on Friday morning!  Mom insisted on checking after I picked up her and Dad.  I said, “There’s no way…I just got them to distro last week.”  Leave it to proud Mom to  ”know”.

A new retail outlet!

Home

Many thanks to the lovely buyers at Politics and Prose, one of my husband’s favorite haunts.  My 2013 Washington D.C. Portfolio Calendars are now available there (along with rooms and rooms of books and delicious goodies in the back cafe…)

Happy News!

SI-SeriouslyAmazingThe Luck of the Irish is no small thing….

My calendar has been picked up by the Smithsonian Gift Shops!  Seamus is doing a little jig.

Ireland

Thank you to all of my lovely customers…as the Irish would say.  Should you place an order between August 19 and September 2, I will ship it to you on September 4.  Perhaps you’ll see some paintings based upon our family’s Ireland travels soon?

…And please stay tuned for some exciting news about new retail outlets for my art.  If all goes well, it’s the Luck of the Irish at its very best.

Seamus Smiles!

Seamus smiles.  Some might say it’s because he just got a handful of treats out of the “can o’ tasty greatness”, but maybe it’s because we’ve found our first retail outlet:

Welcome to my site!

Thank you so much to Rob and Chris, the amazing 50 pound brains who made this website happen. I tried, oh, how I tried…but web development is not a gift I possess.

Check back soon, when I’ll post upcoming events and shows where I’ll be this fall. One or two are outdoors, so I’ve got to check the fine print to see if corgis are allowed as “helpers”. I feel there’s nothing like a corgi to generate business, right?

After just a few more business decisions, I’ll be back to painting for 2014. Look in this page to find more about my adventures around D.C. I’m very excited with my ideas for 2014, including more hidden gems in the northeast quadrant of our beautiful city.

Thanks so much for stopping by the site!
